Executive Director
Lincoln Public Schools Foundation
Barbara Bartle has served as the Executive Director
of the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools for 12 years.
The Foundation was established in 1989 to provide the
margin of excellence for the students and staff in the
Lincoln Public Schools.
After teaching at the elementary level for seven years,
Barbara was named the coordinator of volunteers at the
Lied Center for Performing Arts. She was the liaison
to the Friends of Lied and worked with the organization
to establish Lied chapters across the State of Nebraska.
After three years, she accepted her current position
at the Foundation. While building the capacity of the
Foundation, she has served as a consultant to other local
education funds across the country.
A member of several professional fundraising organizations,
Barbara has served as president of Rotary Club 14, the
Nebraska Repertory Theater and is currently on the board
of directors for the Dimensions Educational Research
Foundation and the Meadowlark Music Festival. Her favorite
time is spent with her husband, Bob, their three children
and the wheaten terrier.
